General purpose hook and loop has rubber adhesive. Pull the straps apart by hand. The hook side has tiny stiff hooks and the loop side is covered with pliable loops.
Heavy duty hook and loop has a pressure sensitive adhesive. It has dual lock reclosable fasteners, that are constructed of nylon stems with a mushroom shaped tops. This construction offers five times the strength of general purpose Velcro.
Both styles are black, have a temperature range of -20°F to 120°F and are 1" wide.
